HISTORY SOCIETY

The Sixties – The Rock and Roll Years

The exhibition showcases a small part of a 1963 project, in which Society member Bernard Watts photographed many of the local Ripley buildings. We have tried to focus on some buildings that are no longer there or else local businesses that have gone. In addition there is a small homage to Ripley’s most famous son, Eric Clapton. We have a few sixties artefacts and pictures of a local skiffle and rock ‘n roll band that featured two Society members.

From January to April, every Saturday 10-12:30. Located next to Ripley Village Hall.
