The SRHS participated in the BBC The Art that made us Festival (logo below which we are allowed to use) with a short film on Clarence Sex the local blacksmith. There will be a video on youtube coming soon.
May 6th, Send Scouts organise the Annual May Fair on the Recreation Ground in Send A May Queen will be crowned, and there will be folk dancing, including around the May Pole, plenty of stalls, music and lots of other fun. The History Society had a stand there and met many of the locals from […]
Norwegian Airways are currently featuring portraits of influential women on the tails of their planes. They have even included Ockham’s Ada Lovelace who will, coincidentally, be the subject of our next museum exhibition and of talk on Tuesday 16th April 2019.
In 2017 it was discovered that the museum was suffering from serious structural issues due to damp getting in over a prolonged period and not being detected because of the internal cladding.
