The Homefront
Send and Ripley in the Second World War
Ripley museum, Next to Ripley Village Hall,GU23 6AF
When: JUNE 13th to SEPTEMBER 12th 2015
EVERY SATURDAY
Time: 10—12.30
The new exhibition at the museum is about the HOMEFRONT in World War II. The thinking behind this is both to acknowledge the 70th anniversary of the end of the war and to launch the Society’s little bomb shelter as an ‘experience’. All being well, by the end of July children (and very small adults) will be able to climb inside and imagine what it might have been like to wait out a night of bombing.
The museum itself will be devoted to a 1940s domestic interior.
Please come along to see the exhibition and, if appropriate, share your memories.
